The champions league is back. Today is the second day of matchday 1 Liverpool will be visiting Napoli for their first game in the champions league this season. Liverpool who has only won 2 matches in the premier league has a big task ahead of them as they will have to face their problems away from Anfield. They only have to hope their performance will be better than that of Chelsea who lost their opening game to Dinamo Zagreb.
There are a number of other matches expected tonight. Spurs, Bayern, Atletico, and Barcelona among others are expected to play tonight as well. Some of the other teams who played last night include Man city which won by 4 goals to nill against Sevilla starting the tally for Haaland at 2 goals this season. The defending champions also played their first game yesterday and beat Celtic by 3 goals to nil away. PSG also entertained Juventus at home by beating them 2 goals to one.

Liverpool has won the title before and most recently two years ago. They have done so with the current coach Crop and will be looking to do it again this season.

The biggest challenge for Liverpool
During this summer transfer window, Liverpool lost one of its major assets. Sadio Mane left Liverpool on a transfer to Bayern Munich. Mane who most can say is a world-class player irreplaceable in that Liverpool squad left a huge gap in the Liverpool squad.
Other than Mane leaving, the team has been experiencing major injuries, especially in the attacking players. They still have a whole team to play with but with the level and closeness of matches, they will have a hard time winning matches.
To add salt to the wound the team the reds will have to travel to Napoli as they will be playing away.
