The blues now have a chance to revenge and denied their opponents all three points tonight. Chelsea currently has the lead in the group stage followed closely by their tonight opponents. If they lose this game today they will end up second by the end of the day.
In the last game, Chelsea beat Milan away to make it their second win in the champions this season. They are now 1 point clear of the second position. As for RB Salzburg, they have not lost any game in the champions league. With 1 win and three draws so far they will be looking to keep all 3 possible points and maintain their unbeaten run, especially at home.
How the teams should win
Just like the two teams have dominated the group stage, that how hard it is going to be for either of them to win. Chelsea is more equipped to beat the opponent considering the experience and manpower the club has. they have won the title in the last five years and twice overall. Something very few teams can say.
The champions league is tough this season and anyone can get demoted to the Europa league. Barcelona for instance one of the teams that dominate the champions league are losing. if they don’t win their next matches while hoping the competitors lose, they might end up in the Europa league if not completely out of the league. The best chance for these two teams not to end up like Barcelona only a draw will favor both their course.
